We, Verena Weinkath and Stefanie König, have been running our family business stegmann since 2001, in the fourth generation. Fashion and service have always been important to us, we grew up with it, our great-grandparents, grandparents and parents stood for it. We have remained true to our values and our tradition, as well as to the motto of our grandfather and second-generation stegmann managing director, who always said: "To remain what you are, you have to change" and that is exactly what we are doing.
With our own Stegmann Hamburg collection, we have taken a new path. With a lot of heart and passion, together with our tailors and fabric manufacturers, we have developed a collection for people who, like us, enjoy fashion, who combine family and work, women who have something to say, who like to go out, for whom time is a precious commodity. A collection that is characterized by flattering, flowing cuts and fabrics that are comfortable for the day and super stylish for the evening. We are incredibly proud of this collection.

OUR GREAT-GRANDFATHER
HERMANN STEGMANN
When our great-grandfather Hermann Stegmann founded the company stegmann, electrification was just beginning in Hamburg. In 1882, our parent company was located on Gänsemarkt in Hamburg, not far from our shop on Jungfernstieg. Herrmann's passion was tailoring, so it made sense to set up a shop for linen goods and tailoring accessories. The concept was a hit in Hamburg. Hermann knew what was needed. And today we still follow his credo: "... listen carefully to the customer and then think about what you can do."

THE TRADE LICENSE OF 1882
The business registration certificate from 1882 has a place of honor in our shop on Jungfernstieg.
By the way: the famous button wall from 1882 from our headquarters is still in use in our store and is home to over 15,000 different buttons.
Since 1932, our business has been located on one of Hamburg's most famous streets, the Hamburger Jungfernstieg, which was the first street in Germany to be paved in 1838. The street got its name from a tradition: on Sundays, families would take their unmarried ladies, the maidens, for a stroll along the promenade. The luxury hotel Hamburger Hof was also opened here in 1882, the year we were founded.
We live and love fashion and color and want women to be able to express themselves in our Stegmann Hamburg collection without much effort and feel great and perfectly dressed. At any age, with any figure, in any life situation. We work every day with great passion to achieve this. Since 1882.
